Several of my users are experiencing very strange problems with their mail in 8.5...

The selection margin (gutter) disappears even though it is selected in preferences. I know it was there when they were first upgraded, but now it has gone missing.

In my attempts to try get it back, I have:

* unselected it, closed/opened Notes - reselected it and closed/opened Notes
* deleted bookmarks and cache

but nothing seems to work.

I haven't seen this issue and I am running 8.5 too.

Another hmmmm? is when these same users try to delete specific selected documents in their mail. The documents to be deleted are highlighted in the view (since they can't be selected in the gutter). When they click delete on their keyboard or click the trash icon...the selected document is not deleted, another one further down the view is deleted instead. One possible reason discussed in this forum is don't sort by date -- but this only started to happen when the gutter disappeared. They have always had their mail sorted by date and when selected in the gutter, the correct mail document was deleted.

Has anyone else had these issues and, if so, how were they resolved?
